Restoring Hope. Rebuilding Lives.

At MindPath Recovery, we believe every person deserves a safe place to heal, grow, and rediscover purpose—regardless of their mental health challenges or recovery journey.

We are a nonprofit organization committed to creating supportive residential housing and holistic recovery programs for individuals living with mental illness and substance abuse challenges throughout Southern California.

But our mission did not begin with an organization.

It began with family.

Our Story

MindPath Recovery was founded by Nikki Ervin and Deon Dukes after years of caring for a loved one struggling with depression, schizophrenia, and substance abuse.

As a mother, Nikki Ervin experienced firsthand the emotional, financial, and personal challenges that come with trying to support a child battling mental illness and addiction. Through countless difficult moments, one issue became painfully clear: there are simply not enough safe, stable, and supportive living environments for individuals facing these challenges.

Wanting to do more than simply navigate the system, Nikki dedicated herself to creating a solution rooted in compassion, structure, and dignity.

Alongside her, Deon Dukes stepped in not only as a brother, but as an advocate and supporter determined to help create a better path for families experiencing similar struggles. Together, they witnessed the gaps in mental health support and recovery housing that leave too many individuals without the stability they need to heal and rebuild their lives.

That experience inspired the creation of MindPath Recovery.

Today, our organization exists to provide more than shelter—we are building recovery-centered homes where individuals can find safety, support, accountability, and hope for the future.
